1 David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service the sons of ^aAsaph, and of ^bHeman, and of ^cJeduthun, who ^dprophesied with lyres, with ^eharps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was:

3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, ^{▼▼One Hebrew manuscript, Septuagint; most Hebrew manuscripts lack Shimei} Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, ^gwho prophesied with the lyre in thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

1 Chronicles 25:6

6 They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord with cymbals, ^hharps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king.

2 Chronicles 35:15

15 The singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place ⁱaccording to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s ^jseer; ^kand the gatekeepers were at each gate. They did not need to depart from their service, for their brothers the Levites prepared for them.
