1 Chronicles 29:2-3

2So I have provided for the house of my God, so far as I was able, the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, besides great quantities of aonyx and stones for setting, antimony, colored stones, all sorts of precious stones and marble. 3Moreover, in addition to all that I have provided for the holy house, I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, and because of my devotion to the house of my God I give it to the house of my God:

1 Chronicles 29:17

17I know, my God, bthat you test the heart and chave pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.

2 Chronicles 6:8

8But the Lord said to David my father, ‘Whereas dit was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

Mark 12:41-44

The Widow’s Offering

41 eAnd he sat down opposite fthe treasury and watched the people gputting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42And a poor widow came and put in two hsmall copper coins, which make a penny.
Greek  two lepta, which make a kodrantes; a kodrantes (Latin quadrans) was a Roman copper coin worth about 1/64 of a denarius (which was a day’s wage for a laborer)
43And he called his disciples to him and said to them, Truly, I say to you, jthis poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her kpoverty has put in everything she had, all lshe had to live on.”

Mark 14:6-8

6But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7For myou always have the poor with you, and whenever nyou want, you can do good for them. But oyou will not always have me. 8 pShe has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand qfor burial.

2 Corinthians 8:2-3

2for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and rtheir extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3For they gave saccording to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord,

2 Corinthians 8:12

12For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable taccording to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
