A Genealogy of the Returned Exiles

1So all Israel was recorded in genealogies, and these are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. And aJudah was taken into exile in Babylon because of their breach of faith. 2 bNow the first to cdwell again in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the dtemple servants. 3And some of the people of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem:

Ezekiel 37:16-17

16 eSon of man, ftake a stick
Or one piece of wood; also verses 17, 19, 20
and write on it, ‘For hJudah, and ithe people of Israel associated with him’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For jJoseph (the stick of kEphraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him.’
17And ljoin them one to another into one stick, that mthey may become none in your hand.

Zechariah 10:6

6 o“I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and pI will save the house of Joseph.
qI will bring them back rbecause I have compassion on them,
and they shall be as though I had not rejected them,
for sI am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
