1 Chronicles 9:26-33

26for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted to be over athe chambers and the treasures of the house of God. 27And they lodged around the house of God, for on them lay the duty of watching, and bthey had charge of opening it every morning.

28Some of them had charge of the utensils of service, for they were required to count them when they were brought in and taken out. 29Others of them were appointed over the furniture and over all the holy utensils, also over the cfine flour, the wine, the oil, the incense, and the spices. 30Others, of the sons of the priests, dprepared the mixing of the spices, 31and Mattithiah, one of the Levites, the firstborn of eShallum the fKorahite, was entrusted with gmaking the flat cakes. 32Also some of their kinsmen of the Kohathites had hcharge of the showbread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

33Now these, the isingers, the heads of fathers’ houses of the Levites, were in the chambers of the temple free from other service, for they were on duty day and night.

Nehemiah 10:38-39

38And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of jthe storehouse. 39For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi kshall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. lWe will not neglect the house of our God.”

Ezekiel 40:17

The Outer Court

17Then he brought me into mthe outer court. And behold, there were nchambers and a opavement, all around the court. pThirty chambers faced the pavement.
