1 Corinthians 11:5

5but every wife
In verses 5–13, the Greek word gunē is translated  wife in verses that deal with wearing a veil, a sign of being married in first-century culture
who prays or bprophesies cwith her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same das if her head were shaven.

1 Corinthians 11:14-15

14Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, 15but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
