Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
loved by God, lthat he has chosen you,
5because mour gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and nin the Holy Spirit and with full oconviction. You know pwhat kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

1 Thessalonians 5:5

5For you are all qchildren
Or sons; twice in this verse
of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.

Hebrews 6:9-10

9Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better thingsthings that belong to salvation. 10For sGod is not unjust so as to overlook tyour work and the love that you have shown for his name in userving the saints, as you still do.
