1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, ^alike men sentenced to death, because we ^bhave become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. 10 ^cWe are fools for Christ’s sake, but ^dyou are wise in Christ. ^eWe are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11 To the present hour ^fwe hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and ^gbuffeted and ^hhomeless, 12 and we ⁱlabor, working with our own hands. ^jWhen reviled, we bless; ^kwhen persecuted, we endure; 13 when slandered, we entreat. ^lWe have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, ^mthe refuse of all things.

2 Corinthians 11:23-27

23 Are they ⁿservants of Christ? ^oI am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, ^pfar more imprisonments, ^qwith countless beatings, and ^roften near death. 24 Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the ^sforty lashes less one. 25 Three times I was ^tbeaten with rods. ^uOnce I was stoned. 2 Timothy 1:12

2 Timothy 2:9-10

2 Timothy 3:11
