1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, alike men sentenced to death, because we bhave become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. 10 cWe are fools for Christ’s sake, but dyou are wise in Christ. eWe are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11To the present hour fwe hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and gbuffeted and hhomeless, 12and we ilabor, working with our own hands. jWhen reviled, we bless; kwhen persecuted, we endure; 13when slandered, we entreat. lWe have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, mthe refuse of all things.
