24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives ^athe prize? So ^brun that you may obtain it. 25 Every ^cathlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we ^dan imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I ^edo not box as one ^fbeating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and ^gkeep it under control, ^{▼▼Greek I pummel my body and make it a slave} lest after preaching to others ⁱI myself should be ^jdisqualified.

Jesus, Founder and Perfecter of Our Faith

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and ^ksin which clings so closely, and ^llet us run ^mwith endurance the race that is ⁿset before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^owho for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^pthe shame, and ^qis seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
