The New Heaven and the New Earth

The River of Life

1 Then the angel ^{▼▼Greek he} showed me ^ajthe river of ^akthe water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of ^althe street of the city; ^amalso, on either side of the river, ^anthe tree of life ^{▼▼Or the Lamb. In the midst of the street of the city, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life} with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were ^apfor the healing of the nations. 3 ^aqNo longer will there be anything accursed, but ^arthe throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and ^ashis servants ^{▼▼Greek bondservants; also verse 6} will worship him. 4 ^auThey will see his face, and ^avhis name will be on their foreheads. 5 And ^awnight will be no more. They will need no light of lamp ^axor sun, for ^aythe Lord God will be their light, and ^azthey will reign forever and ever.
