1 John 3:9-10

9 ^aNo one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s ^{▼▼Greek his} seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, ^cnor is the one who ^ddoes not love his brother.

1 John 4:6

6 We are from God. ^eWhoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know ^fthe Spirit of truth and ^gthe spirit of error.

1 John 4:16
