13Go in at once to King David, and say to him, ‘Did you not, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, aSolomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then is Adonijah king?’

1 Chronicles 29:23

23 bThen Solomon sat on the cthrone of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

Psalms 132:11

11 dThe Lord swore to David a sure oath
efrom which he will not turn back:
f“One of the sons of your body
Hebrew  of your fruit of the womb

I will set on your throne.

Haggai 2:22

22and hto overthrow the throne of kingdoms. I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations, and ioverthrow the chariots and their riders. And the horses and their riders shall go down, jevery one by the sword of his brother.
