1 Kings 11:12-13

12 Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 However, ^aI will not tear away all the kingdom, but ^bI will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem ^cthat I have chosen.”

1 Kings 15:4

4 Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him ^da lamp in Jerusalem, setting up his son after him, and establishing Jerusalem,

Isaiah 9:7

7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
^ethere will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
^fwith justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
^gThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Jeremiah 23:5-6

Jeremiah 33:21

21 ⁿthen also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers.

Jeremiah 33:26

26 then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. ^oFor I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”
