1 Kings 11:12-13
12Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13However, aI will not tear away all the kingdom, but bI will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem cthat I have chosen.”1 Kings 11:36
36Yet to his son dI will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have ea lamp before me in Jerusalem, fthe city where I have chosen to put my name.1 Kings 15:4
4Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him ga lamp in Jerusalem, setting up his son after him, and establishing Jerusalem,Jeremiah 23:5-6
5 h“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous iBranch, and jhe shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 6In his days Judah will be saved, and kIsrael will ldwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: m‘The Lord is our righteousness.’Jeremiah 30:9
9But they shall serve the Lord their God and nDavid their king, whom I will raise up for them.Jeremiah 33:15-16
15In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous oBranch to spring up for David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 16In those days Judah will be saved, pand Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will be called: q‘The Lord is our righteousness.’Ezekiel 37:24-25
24“My servant rDavid sshall be king over them, and they shall all have tone shepherd. uThey shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25 vThey shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there wforever, and David my servant shall be their prince xforever.
