1 Kings 11:24-25

24And he gathered men about him and became leader of a marauding band, aafter the killing by David. And they went to Damascus and lived there and made him king in Damascus. 25He was an adversary of Israel all the days of Solomon, doing harm as Hadad did. And he loathed Israel and reigned over Syria.

1 Chronicles 18:5-6

5And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king bof Zobah, David struck down 22,000 men of the Syrians. 6Then David put garrisons

Isaiah 7:5

5Because Syria, with Ephraim and ethe son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,

8For the head of Syria is fDamascus,
and the head of Damascus is Rezin.
And within sixty-five years
Ephraim will be shattered from being a people.

Jeremiah 49:24-25

24 gDamascus has become feeble, hshe turned to flee,
and panic seized her;
anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her,
as iof a woman in labor.
25How is jthe famous city not forsaken,
the city of my joy?

Amos 1:3

3Thus says the Lord:

k“For three transgressions of lDamascus,
and for four, mI will not revoke the punishment,
Hebrew  I will not turn it back; also verses 6, 9, 11, 13

because they have threshed oGilead
with threshing sledges of iron.
