1 Kings 11:7-8

7Then Solomon built a high place for aChemosh the abomination of Moab, and for bMolech the abomination of the Ammonites, on the mountain east of Jerusalem. 8And so he did for all his foreign wives, who made offerings and sacrificed to their gods.

2 Kings 21:4-7

4 cAnd he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, d“In Jerusalem will I put my name.” 5And he built altars efor all the host of heaven in fthe two courts of the house of the Lord. 6 gAnd he burned his son as an offering
Hebrew made his son pass through the fire
and iused fortune-telling and jomens and dealt kwith mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
7And the carved image of lAsherah that he had made he set in the house of which the Lord said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, mand in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever.

2 Kings 21:16

16 nMoreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides the sin othat he made Judah to sin so that they did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

2 Kings 22:16-17

16Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read. 17 pBecause they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore qmy wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.

Jeremiah 5:9-11

9 rShall I not punish them for these things?

declares the Lord;
and shall I not avenge myself
on a nation such as this?
10 s“Go up through her vine rows and destroy,
tbut make not a full end;
strip away her branches,
for they are not the Lord’s.
11 uFor the house of Israel and the house of Judah
have been utterly treacherous to me,

declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 6:6-7

6 For thus says the Lord of hosts:
v“Cut down her trees;
wcast up a siege mound against Jerusalem.
This is the city that must be xpunished;
there is nothing but oppression within her.
7 yAs a well keeps its water fresh,
so she keeps fresh her evil;
zviolence and destruction are heard within her;
sickness and wounds are ever before me.

Jeremiah 23:14-15

14But in the prophets of Jerusalem
I have seen a horrible thing:
aathey commit adultery and walk in lies;
abthey strengthen the hands of evildoers,
so that no one turns from his evil;
acall of them have become like Sodom to me,
adand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”
15Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets:
aeBehold, I will feed them with bitter food
afand give them agpoisoned water to drink,
for from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”
