1 Kings 12:19-20

19 aSo Israel has been in rebellion against the house of David to this day. 20And when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the assembly and made him king over all Israel. There was none that followed the house of David but bthe tribe of Judah only.

2 Kings 17:21-23

21 cWhen he had torn Israel from the house of David, dthey made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord eand made them commit great sin. 22The people of Israel walked in all the sins that Jeroboam did. They did not depart from them, 23until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, fas he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. gSo Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

2 Chronicles 10:16

16And when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, “What portion have we in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. hEach of you to your tents, O Israel! Look now to your own house, David.” So all Israel went to their tents.

2 Chronicles 13:5-7

5Ought you not to know that the Lord God of Israel igave the kingship over Israel forever to David and his sons by ja covenant of salt? 6Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, a servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up kand rebelled against his lord, 7and certain lworthless scoundrels gathered about him and defied Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was myoung and irresolute

and could not withstand them.
