1 Kings 12:26-33

26And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom will turn back to the house of David. 27If this people ago up to offer sacrifices in the temple of the Lord at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn again to their lord, to Rehoboam king of Judah, and they will kill me and return to Rehoboam king of Judah.” 28So the king took counsel and bmade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. cBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30Then dthis thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one.
Septuagint  went to the one at Bethel and to the other as far as Dan
31He also made ftemples on high places and gappointed priests from among all the people, who were not of the Levites. 32And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like hthe feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel ithe priests of the high places that he had made. 33He went up to the altar that he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from his own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel and went up to the altar jto make offerings.

1 Kings 14:14-16

14 kMoreover, the Lord will raise up for himself a king over Israel who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam today. And henceforth, 15the Lord will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and lroot up Israel out of mthis good land that he gave to their fathers and scatter them nbeyond the Euphrates,

because they have made their pAsherim, provoking the Lord to anger.
16And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin.”

Ezekiel 23:5-21

5Oholah played the whore qwhile she was mine, and rshe lusted after her lovers sthe Assyrians, warriors 6clothed in purple, tgovernors and commanders, uall of them desirable young men, vhorsemen riding on horses. 7She bestowed her whoring upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them, and she defiled herself with all the idols of everyone after whom she lusted. 8She did not give up her whoring wthat she had begun in Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her and handled her virgin bosom and poured out their whoring lust upon her. 9Therefore xI delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the Assyrians, after whom she lusted. 10 yThese uncovered her nakedness; zthey seized her sons and her daughters; and as for her, they killed her with the sword; and she became aaa byword among women, abwhen judgment had been executed on her.

in her lust and in her whoring, which was worse than that of her sister.
12She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and commanders, warriors clothed in full armor, horsemen riding on horses, afall of them desirable young men. 13And I saw that she was defiled; they both took the same way. 14But she carried her whoring further. She saw men agportrayed on the wall, the ahimages of aithe Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion, 15wearing belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them having the appearance of officers, a likeness of Babylonians whose native land was Chaldea. 16When she saw them, she lusted after them and ajsent messengers to them akin Chaldea. 17And the Babylonians came to her alinto the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoring lust. And after she was defiled by them, amshe turned from them in disgust. 18When she carried on her whoring so openly and flaunted her nakedness, I turned in disgust from her, as I had turned in disgust from her sister. 19Yet she increased her whoring, anremembering the days of her youth, when she played the whore in the land of Egypt 20and lusted after her lovers there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose issue was like that of horses. 21Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom and pressed
