1 Kings 12:28-33

28So the king took counsel and amade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. bBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30Then cthis thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one.
Septuagint  went to the one at Bethel and to the other as far as Dan
31He also made etemples on high places and fappointed priests from among all the people, who were not of the Levites. 32And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like gthe feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel hthe priests of the high places that he had made. 33He went up to the altar that he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from his own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel and went up to the altar ito make offerings.

1 Kings 13:1

A Man of God Confronts Jeroboam

1And behold, ja man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar kto make offerings.

Jeremiah 48:13

13Then lMoab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as mthe house of Israel was ashamed of nBethel, their confidence.

Amos 3:14

14that on the day I punish Israel for his transgressions,
oI will punish the altars of Bethel,
and pthe horns of the altar shall be cut off
and fall to the ground.

Amos 7:13

13but qnever again prophesy at Bethel, for rit is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a temple of the kingdom.”
