1 Kings 12:28-32

28So the king took counsel and amade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. bBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30Then cthis thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one.
Septuagint  went to the one at Bethel and to the other as far as Dan
31He also made etemples on high places and fappointed priests from among all the people, who were not of the Levites. 32And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like gthe feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel hthe priests of the high places that he had made.

Hosea 4:15

15 Though you play the whore, O iIsrael,
let not jJudah become guilty.
kEnter not into lGilgal,
nor go up to mBeth-aven,
and swear not, “As the Lord lives.”

Hosea 10:5

5The inhabitants of Samaria tremble
for nthe calf
Or calves
of pBeth-aven.
Its people mourn for it, and so do its idolatrous priests
those who rejoiced over it and qover its glory
for it has departed
Or  has gone into exile
from them.

Hosea 10:15

15Thus it shall be done to you, O sBethel,
because of your great evil.
At dawn tthe king of Israel
shall be utterly cut off.

Amos 3:14

14that on the day I punish Israel for his transgressions,
uI will punish the altars of Bethel,
and vthe horns of the altar shall be cut off
and fall to the ground.

Amos 4:4

4 wCome to Bethel, and transgress;
to xGilgal, and multiply transgression;
ybring your zsacrifices every morning,
your tithes every three days;

Amos 5:5

5but do not seek aaBethel,
and do not enter into abGilgal
or cross over to acBeersheba;
for adGilgal shall surely go into exile,
and aeBethel shall come to nothing.”

Amos 7:13

13but afnever again prophesy at Bethel, for agit is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a temple of the kingdom.”
