1 Kings 12:32

32And Jeroboam appointed a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month like athe feast that was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he made. And he placed in Bethel bthe priests of the high places that he had made.

Isaiah 1:13-14

13Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.
cNew moon and Sabbath and the dcalling of convocations
I cannot endure einiquity and fsolemn assembly.
14Your gnew moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.

Amos 5:21

21 h“I hate, I despise your feasts,
and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies.

Amos 8:3

3 iThe songs of the temple
Or palace
kshall become wailings
Or  The singing women of the palace shall wail
in that day,”

declares the Lord God.
m“So many dead bodies!”
“They are thrown everywhere!”
nSilence!”

Amos 8:5

5saying, “When will othe new moon be over,
that we may sell grain?
And pthe Sabbath,
that we may offer wheat for sale,
that we may make qthe ephah small and the shekel
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
great
and deal deceitfully with false balances,

Amos 8:9-10

9 “And on that day,” declares the Lord God,
s“I will make the sun go down at noon
and darken the earth in broad daylight.
10 tI will turn your feasts into mourning
and all your songs into lamentation;
uI will bring sackcloth on every waist
vand baldness on every head;
wI will make it like the mourning for an only son
and the end of it like a bitter day.
