1 Kings 13:18

Jeremiah 9:3-5

3 eThey bend their tongue like a bow;
falsehood and not truth has grown strong
Septuagint; Hebrew  and not for truth they have grown strong

gand they do not know me, declares the Lord.
4 hLet everyone beware of his neighbor,
and put no trust in any brother,
for every ibrother is a deceiver,
and every neighbor jgoes about as a slanderer.
5Everyone deceives his neighbor,
and no one speaks the truth;
they have taught their tongue to speak lies;
they weary themselves committing iniquity.

Acts 5:3-4

3But Peter said, “Ananias, why has kSatan filled your heart to lie lto the Holy Spirit and mto keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but nto God.”

Romans 3:4

4By no means! oLet God be true though pevery one were a liar, as it is written,

qThat you may be justified in your words,
and prevail when you rare judged.”

Ephesians 4:25

25Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you sspeak the truth with his neighbor, for twe are members one of another.
