30And he laid the body in his own grave. And they mourned over him, saying, aAlas, my brother!”

1 Kings 14:13

13And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him bthere is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

2 Chronicles 21:19-20

19In the course of time, at the end of two years, his bowels came out because of the disease, and he died in great agony. His people made no fire in his honor, clike the fires made for his fathers. 20 dHe was thirty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he departed ewith no one’s regret. fThey buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.

Isaiah 14:18-20

18All the kings of the nations lie in glory,
each in his own tomb;
Hebrew house

19but you are cast out, away from your grave,
like a loathed branch,
hclothed with the slain, those pierced by the sword,
who go down to the stones of the pit,
like a dead body trampled underfoot.
20You will not be joined with them in burial,
because you have destroyed your land,
you have slain your people.
“May ithe offspring of evildoers
nevermore be named!

Jeremiah 22:18-19

18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

j“They shall not lament for him, saying,
kAh, my brother!’ or ‘Ah, sister!’
They shall not lament for him, saying,
lAh, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’
19With the burial of a donkey mhe shall be buried,
dragged and dumped beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
