1 Kings 14:12-13

12Arise therefore, go to your house. aWhen your feet enter the city, the child shall die. 13And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him bthere is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

2 Kings 23:25-29

25 cBefore him there was no king like him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.

26Still the Lord did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, dbecause of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him. 27And the Lord said, “I will remove Judah also out of my sight, eas I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city that I have chosen, Jerusalem, fand the house of which I said, My name shall be there.”

Josiah’s Death in Battle

28Now the rest of the acts of Josiah and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? 29 gIn his days hPharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. King Josiah went to meet him, and Pharaoh Neco killed him at iMegiddo, as soon as he saw him.
