1 Kings 15:18

18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold ^athat were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. ^bAnd King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ^cwho lived in Damascus, saying,

20 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel and conquered ^dIjon, ^eDan, ^fAbel-beth-maacah, and all ^gChinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

Hazael Murders Ben-hadad

7 Now Elisha came to ^hDamascus. ⁱBen-hadad the king of Syria was sick. And when it was told him, “The man of God has come here,” 8 the king said to ^jHazael, ^k“Take a present with you and go to meet the man of God, ^land inquire of the Lord through him, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this sickness?’” 9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, all kinds of goods of Damascus, forty camels’ loads. When he came and stood before him, he said, ^m“Your son Ben-hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this sickness?’” 10 And Elisha said to him, ⁿ“Go, say to him, ‘You shall certainly recover,’ but ^{▼▼Some manuscripts say, ‘You shall certainly not recover,’ for} the Lord has shown me that ^phe shall certainly die.”

2 Chronicles 16:2-4

2 Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the Lord and the king’s house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying, 3 “There is a covenant ^{▼▼Or treaty; twice in this verse} between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.” 4 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim, and all the ^rstore cities of Naphtali.

Jeremiah 49:27

27 And ^sI will kindle a fire in the wall of ^tDamascus,
and it shall devour the strongholds of ^uBen-hadad.”

Amos 1:4

4 ^vSo I will send a fire upon the house of ^wHazael,
and it shall devour the strongholds of ^xBen-hadad.
