1 Kings 16:30-33
30And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, amore than all who were before him. 31And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, bhe took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the cSidonians, dand went and served Baal and worshiped him. 32He erected an altar for Baal in ethe house of Baal, which he built in Samaria. 33And Ahab made an fAsherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger gthan all the kings of Israel who were before him.1 Kings 18:4
4and hwhen Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)1 Kings 21:25-26
Ahab’s Repentance
25( iThere was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the Lord like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited. 26He acted very abominably in going after jidols, as kthe Amorites had done, whom the Lord cast out before the people of Israel.)2 Kings 16:3
3but he walked in the way of the kings of Israel. lHe even burned his son as an offering, ▼▼Or made his son pass through the fire
naccording to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel. 2 Kings 21:3
3For he rebuilt the high places othat Hezekiah his father had destroyed, and he erected altars for Baal and made pan Asherah, qas Ahab king of Israel had done, rand worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.Isaiah 9:16
16for those who guide this people have been leading them astray,and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.
