The Lord Speaks to Elijah

9There he came to a cave and lodged in it. And behold, athe word of the Lord came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 10He said, “I have been very bjealous for the Lord, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, cthrown down your altars, and dkilled your prophets with the sword, eand I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”

Isaiah 62:1

Zion’s Coming Salvation

1 fFor Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet,
guntil her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.

Isaiah 62:6-7

6 On your walls, O Jerusalem,
I have set hwatchmen;
all the day and all the night
they shall never be silent.
You who put the Lord in remembrance,
take no rest,
7and give him no rest
until he establishes Jerusalem
and makes it ia praise in the earth.
