1 Kings 21:11-13

11And the men of his city, athe elders and the leaders who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them. As it was written in the letters that she had sent to them, 12 bthey proclaimed a fast and set Naboth at the head of the people. 13And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Acts 4:1-3

Peter and John Before the Council

1And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and cthe captain of the temple and dthe Sadducees came upon them, 2greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming ein Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3And they arrested them and fput them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening.
