1 Kings 21:20-25

20Ahab said to Elijah, a“Have you found me, O my enemy?” He answered, “I have found you, because byou have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the Lord. 21Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and cwill cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel. 22And I will make your house like dthe house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like ethe house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the anger to which you have provoked me, and because you fhave made Israel to sin. 23And of Jezebel the Lord also said, g‘The dogs shall eat Jezebel within hthe walls of Jezreel.’ 24 iAnyone belonging to Ahab who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat.”

Ahab’s Repentance

25( jThere was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the Lord like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited.

2 Kings 1:16

16and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of kBaal-zebub, the god of Ekron—is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word?—therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’”

Isaiah 3:11

11 lWoe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him,
for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him.

Isaiah 66:4

4 mI also will choose harsh treatment for them
and bring ntheir fears upon them,
obecause when I called, no one answered,
when I spoke, they did not listen;
pbut they did what was evil in my eyes
and chose that in which I did not delight.”

Ezekiel 14:7

7For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, qwho separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, rI the Lord will answer him myself.
