1 Kings 21:27-29

27And when Ahab heard those words, he atore his clothes and bput sackcloth on his flesh and cfasted and lay in sackcloth and went about dejectedly. 28And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29“Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; dbut in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon his house.”

2 Kings 10:30-31

30And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, eyour sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” 31But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. fHe did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel to sin.

2And Jehoash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all his days, because Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
