1 Kings 22:19-23

19 And Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: ^aI saw the Lord sitting on his throne, ^band all the host of heaven standing beside him on his right hand and on his left; 20 and the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said one thing, and another said another. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, saying, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 And the Lord said to him, ‘By what means?’ And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be ^ca lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’ 23 Now therefore behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the Lord has declared disaster for you.”

2 Chronicles 18:18-22

Ezekiel 14:9

9 And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, ^fI, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

John 8:44

44 ^gYou are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. ^hHe was a murderer from the beginning, and ⁱdoes not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. ^jWhen he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 For such men are ^kfalse apostles, ^ldeceitful workmen, ^mdisguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as ⁿan angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as ^oservants of righteousness. ^pTheir end will correspond to their deeds.

Revelation of John 12:9

9 And ^qthe great dragon was thrown down, ^rthat ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, ^sthe deceiver of the whole world— ^the was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
