1 Kings 22:20-23

20 and the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said one thing, and another said another. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, saying, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 And the Lord said to him, ‘By what means?’ And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be ^aa lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’ 23 Now therefore behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the Lord has declared disaster for you.”

Isaiah 63:17

17 O Lord, why do you make us wander from your ways
and ^bharden our heart, so that we fear you not?
^cReturn for the sake of your servants,
the tribes of your heritage.

Jeremiah 14:13-14

Lying Prophets

13 Then I said: “Ah, Lord God, behold, the prophets ^dsay to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’” 14 And the Lord said to me: “The ^eprophets are prophesying lies in my name. ^fI did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, ^gworthless divination, and ^hthe deceit of their own minds.

Ezekiel 14:9-10

9 And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, ⁱI, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 10 And they shall bear their punishment ^{▼▼Or iniquity; three times in this verse}—the punishment of the prophet and the punishment of the inquirer shall be alike—

Romans 1:24

24 Therefore ^kGod gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to ^lthe dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
