1 Kings 22:20-23

20and the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said one thing, and another said another. 21Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, saying, ‘I will entice him.’ 22And the Lord said to him, ‘By what means?’ And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be aa lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’ 23Now therefore behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the Lord has declared disaster for you.”

Job 12:16

the deceived and the deceiver are his.

and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”

Isaiah 47:10-11

10 You felt secure in your wickedness;
you said, “No one sees me”;
your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray,
and you said in your heart,
gI am, and there is no one besides me.”
11But evil shall come upon you,
which you will not know how to charm away;
disaster shall fall upon you,
for which you will not be able to atone;
hand ruin shall come upon you suddenly,
of which you know nothing.

Ezekiel 14:7-9

7For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, iwho separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, jI the Lord will answer him myself. 8And kI will set my face against that man; I lwill make him a sign and a byword mand cut him off from the midst of my people, nand you shall know that I am the Lord. 9And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, oI, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
