and their fields to conquerors,

11They have healed dthe wound of my people lightly,
saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
when there is no peace.

No, ethey were not at all ashamed;

fTherefore they shall fall among the fallen;
when I punish them, they shall be overthrown,

jand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”

land give them mpoisoned water to drink,
for from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

When it falls, you shall perish in the midst of it, tand you shall know that I am the Lord. 15Thus will I spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with whitewash, and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor those who smeared it, 16the prophets of Israel who prophesied concerning Jerusalem uand saw visions of peace for her, when there was no peace, declares the Lord God.
