1 Kings 22:22-24

22And the Lord said to him, ‘By what means?’ And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be aa lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’ 23Now therefore behold, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the Lord has declared disaster for you.”

24Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near band struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, “How did the Spirit of the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Isaiah 9:14-15

14So the Lord cut off from Israel chead and tail,
palm branch and reed in one day
15 dthe elder and honored man is the head,
and ethe prophet who teaches lies is the tail;

Jeremiah 14:15

15Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although fI did not send them, and who say, gSword and famine shall not come upon this land’: hBy sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

Jeremiah 14:18

18 iIf I go out into the field,
behold, those pierced by the sword!
jAnd if I enter the city,
behold, the diseases of famine!
kFor both prophet and priest ply their trade through the land
and have no knowledge.’”

Jeremiah 28:1

Hananiah the False Prophet

1In that same year, at the beginning of the reign of lZedekiah king of Judah, in the fifth month of the fourth year, Hananiah the son of mAzzur, the prophet from nGibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord, in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying,

Jeremiah 28:10

Ezekiel 13:16-17
