1 Kings 22:27

27and say, ‘Thus says the king, aPut this fellow in prison and feed him meager rations of bread and water, buntil I come in peace.”’”

Jeremiah 37:21

21So King Zedekiah gave orders, and they committed Jeremiah to cthe court of the guard. And a loaf of bread was given him daily from the bakersstreet, duntil all the bread of the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in ethe court of the guard.

15The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah lwhile he was shut up in the court of the guard: 16Go, and say to mEbed-melech the Ethiopian, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: nBehold, I will fulfill my words against this city for harm and onot for good, and they shall be accomplished before you on that day. 17But I will deliver you on that day, declares the Lord, and you shall not be given into the hand of the men pof whom you are afraid. 18For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but you shall have your qlife as a prize of war, rbecause you have put your trust in me, declares the Lord.’”

Acts 23:35

35he said, “I will give you a hearing swhen your accusers arrive.” And he commanded him to be guarded in Herod’s tpraetorium.

Acts 24:23-26

23Then he gave orders to the centurion that he ushould be kept in custody but have some liberty, and that vnone of his friends should be prevented from attending to his needs.

24After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about wfaith xin Christ Jesus. 25And as he reasoned yabout righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present. zWhen I get an opportunity I will summon you.” 26At the same time he hoped aathat money would be given him by Paul. So he sent for him often and conversed with him.
