Ahaziah Reigns in Israel
51Ahaziah the son of Ahab abegan to reign over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned two years over Israel.2 Kings 1:2
2Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria, and lay sick; so he sent messengers, telling them, “Go, inquire of bBaal-zebub, the god of Ekron, cwhether I shall recover from this sickness.”2 Kings 1:17
17So he died according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken. Jehoram became king in his place din the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, because Ahaziah had no son.2 Chronicles 20:35
The End of Jehoshaphat’s Reign
35 eAfter this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted wickedly.
