1 Kings 22:8-13

8And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say so.” 9Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, “Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.” 10Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting on their thrones, arrayed in their robes, at the threshing floor aat the entrance of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets were prophesying before them. 11And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself bhorns of iron and said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘With these cyou shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.’” 12And all the prophets prophesied so and said, “Go up to Ramoth-gilead and triumph; the Lord will give it into the hand of the king.”

26How long shall there be lies in the heart of qthe prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart, 27who think to make my people forget my name rby their dreams that they tell one another, even as their sfathers forgot my name for Baal? 28 tLet the prophet who has a dream utell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. vWhat has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord. 29 wIs not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and xlike a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

Ezekiel 13:7-10

7Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, ywhenever you have said, ‘Declares the Lord,’ although I have not spoken?”

8Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, zI am against you, declares the Lord God. 9My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations. They shall not be in the council of my people, aanor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, abnor shall they enter the land of Israel. acAnd you shall know that I am the Lord God. 10Precisely because they have misled my people, adsaying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, aethese prophets smear it with whitewash,
Or plaster; also verses 11, 14, 15
