1 Kings 4:30-32

30so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all athe people of the east band all the wisdom of Egypt. 31For he was cwiser than all other men, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. 32 dHe also spoke 3,000 proverbs, eand his songs were 1,005.

Psalms 39:5-6

5Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths,
and fmy lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely gall mankind stands as a mere breath!  Selah
6Surely a man hgoes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing
Hebrew  Surely as a breath
they are in turmoil;
man jheaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

Ecclesiastes 1:17-18

17And I kapplied my heart to know wisdom and to know lmadness and folly. I perceived that this also is but ma striving after wind.

18 For nin much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

Ecclesiastes 2:11

11Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was ovanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing pto be gained under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 2:17

17So I hated life, because what is done under the sun was grievous to me, for qall is vanity and a striving after wind.

Ecclesiastes 2:26

26For to the one who pleases him rGod has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given sthe business of gathering and collecting, tonly to give to one who pleases God. uThis also is vanity and a striving after wind.
