51Thus all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the Lord was finished. And Solomon brought in athe things that David his father had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and stored them in the treasuries of the house of the Lord.1 Kings 14:26
26He took away the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house. bHe took away everything. He also took away all the shields of gold cthat Solomon had made,2 Kings 24:13
13and carried off all the treasures of the house of the Lord dand the treasures of the king’s house, eand cut in pieces all the vessels of gold in the temple of the Lord, fwhich Solomon king of Israel had made, gas the Lord had foretold.1 Chronicles 26:20
Treasurers and Other Officials
20And of the Levites, Ahijah had charge of hthe treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated gifts.Nehemiah 7:70-71
70Now some of the heads of fathers’ houses gave to the work. The igovernor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics ▼▼A daric was a coin weighing about 1/4 ounce or 8.5 grams
of gold, 50 basins, 30 priests’ garments and 500 minas ▼▼A mina was about 1 1/4 pounds or 0.6 kilogram
of silver. ▼▼Probable reading; Hebrew lacks minas of silver
71And some of the heads of fathers’ houses gave into the treasury of the work 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver. Nehemiah 10:38
38And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of mthe storehouse.Jeremiah 38:11
11So nEbed-melech took the men with him and went to the house of the king, to a wardrobe in the storehouse, and took from there old rags and worn-out clothes, which he let down to Jeremiah in the cistern oby ropes.
