1 Kings 8:41-43

41“Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name’s sake 42(for they shall hear of your great name aand your mighty hand, and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house, 43hear in heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order bthat all the peoples of the earth may know your name and cfear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.

Jonah 1:5

5Then the mariners were afraid, and deach cried out to his god. And ethey hurled the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone down into the inner part of the ship and had lain down and was fast asleep.

Jonah 1:9-11

9And he said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear fthe Lord, the God of heaven, gwho made the sea and the dry land.” 10Then the men were exceedingly afraid and said to him, “What is this that you have done!” For the men knew that hhe was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.

11Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may quiet down for us?” For the sea grew more and more tempestuous.

Jonah 1:16

16Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, iand they offered a sacrifice to the Lord jand made vows.

Jonah 3:5-9

5 kAnd the people of Nineveh believed God. lThey called for a fast and mput on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of them.

the king of Nineveh, and ohe arose from his throne, removed his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, pand sat in ashes.
7And he issued a proclamation and published through Nineveh, q“By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let neither man nor rbeast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water, 8but let man and sbeast be covered with sackcloth, and let them call out mightily to God. tLet everyone turn from his evil way and from uthe violence that is in his hands. 9 vWho knows? God may turn and relent wand turn from his fierce anger, so that we may not perish.”

Hebrews 11:6

6And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God xmust believe that he exists and ythat he rewards those who seek him.

James 5:15

15And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And zif he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
