1 Kings 9:20-21

20 All the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the people of Israel— 21 ^btheir descendants who were left after them in the land, ^cwhom the people of Israel were unable to devote to destruction ^{▼▼That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)}— ^ethese Solomon drafted to be ^fslaves, and so they are to this day.

Isaiah 35:1-2

The Ransomed Shall Return

^hthe desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;

and rejoice with joy and singing.
ⁱThe glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
