1 Kings 9:8

8And this house will become a heap of ruins.
Syriac, Old Latin; Hebrew  will become high
Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, bWhy has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

2 Chronicles 7:20-21

20 cthen I will pluck you
Hebrew them; twice in this verse
up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it ea proverb and a byword among all peoples.
21And at this house, which was exalted, everyone passing by will be astonished and say, fWhy has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

Lamentations 2:15-16

Zephaniah 2:15

What a desolation she has become,
ya lair for wild beasts!

hisses and aashakes his fist.
