1 Peter 1:10-12

10 Concerning this salvation, ^athe prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring ^bwhat person or time ^cthe Spirit of Christ in them was indicating ^dwhen he predicted ^ethe sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 ^fIt was revealed to them that ^gthey were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you ^hby the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, ⁱthings into which angels long to look.

2 Peter 1:19-21

19 And ^jwe have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention ^kas to a lamp shining in a dark place, until ^lthe day ^mdawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. 21 For ⁿno prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God ^oas they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
