1 Peter 1:18-25

18 knowing that you ^awere ransomed from ^bthe futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but ^cwith the precious blood of Christ, like that of ^da lamb ^ewithout blemish or spot. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but ^fwas made manifest ^gin the last times for the sake of you 21 ^hwho through him are believers in God, ⁱwho raised him from the dead and ^jgave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for ^ka sincere brotherly love, ^llove one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 ^msince you have been born again, ⁿnot of perishable seed but of imperishable, through ^othe living and abiding word of God; 24 for

and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower falls,
25 ^qbut the word of the Lord remains forever.”
