Saul Anointed King

1 aThen Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head band kissed him and said, “Has not the Lord anointed you to be prince
Or leader
over dhis people Israel? And you shall reign over the people of the Lord and you will save them from the hand of their surrounding enemies. And this shall be the sign to you that the Lord has anointed you to be prince
Septuagint; Hebrew lacks  over his people Israel? And you shall. . . . to be prince
over his heritage.

1 Samuel 16:3

3And invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do. fAnd you shall anoint for me him whom I declare to you.”

1 Samuel 16:12-13

12And he sent and brought him in. Now he was gruddy and had beautiful eyes and was handsome. And the Lord said, hArise, anoint him, for this is he.” 13Then Samuel took ithe horn of oil jand anointed him in the midst of his brothers. kAnd the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. 2 Samuel 5:3

1 Kings 19:16

2 Kings 9:3

6So he arose and went into the house. And the young man poured the oil on his head, saying to him, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, sI anoint you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.

2 Kings 11:12

12Then he brought out the king’s son and put tthe crown on him and gave him uthe testimony. And they proclaimed him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, v“Long live the king!”
