1 Samuel 10:24

24 And Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see him ^awhom the Lord has chosen? There is none like him among all the people.” And all the people shouted, ^b“Long live the king!”

1 Samuel 13:13-14

13 And Samuel said to Saul, ^c“You have done foolishly. ^dYou have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now ^eyour kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought out a man ^fafter his own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be prince ^{▼▼Or leader} over his people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.”

23 For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
