1 Samuel 12:14-15

1 Kings 2:3-4

3 and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, ^fthat you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, 4 that the Lord may ^gestablish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, ^h‘If your sons pay close attention to their way, ⁱto walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, ^jyou shall not lack ^{▼▼Hebrew there shall not be cut off for you} a man on the throne of Israel.’

1 Kings 3:14

14 And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, ^las your father David walked, then ^mI will lengthen your days.”

1 Kings 8:25

25 Now therefore, O Lord, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, ⁿ‘You shall not lack a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’

David’s Charge to Solomon

2 Chronicles 7:17-18

17 And as for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my rules, 18 then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ^x‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’
