5 And he said to them, “The Lord is witness against you, and ^dhis anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything ^ein my hand.” And they said, “He is witness.”

Ezekiel 3:17-21

17 ^f“Son of man, ^gI have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall ^hgive them warning from me. 18 ⁱIf I say to the wicked, ^j‘You shall surely die,’ ^kand you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person ^lshall die for ^{▼▼Or in; also verses 19, 20} his iniquity, ⁿbut his blood I will require at your hand. 19 ^oBut if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, ^pbut you ^qwill have delivered your soul. 20 ^rAgain, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, ^sand I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. ^tBecause you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, ^uand his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, ^vbut his blood I will require at your hand. 21 But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”

Ezekiel 33:8-9

8 ^wIf I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, ^xand you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, ^ythat wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 ^zBut if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, ^aathat person shall die in his iniquity, ^abbut you will have delivered your soul.
