1 Samuel 15:22

22 And Samuel said,

Psalms 40:6

6 ^cIn sacrifice and offering you have not delighted,

Psalms 50:8-17

^pand you cast my words behind you.

Psalms 51:16-17

16 ^qFor you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are ^ra broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Hosea 6:6

6 For ^sI desire steadfast love ^{▼▼Septuagint mercy} and not sacrifice,
^uthe knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Matthew 9:13
